A checkerboard held up to the light of a Florence afternoon — Amara is what happens when a picnic blanket learns to flirt.

Amara trades quiet pastels for a fiery orange-and-pink gingham that photographs like it's lit from within. The halter-tied bustier bodice holds its shape at the bust while the A-line skirt falls loose and easy from the waist seam, cut from a cotton-linen blend that has just enough body to swing without ever feeling stiff. It's the dress that makes marble balustrades and monsoon light look like they were waiting for it.

Occasion — Al fresco brunches that stretch into the afternoon, exploring cobblestone streets,  Heritage-property brunches, daytime celebrations, garden parties and the dress code allows a bit of colour

• Dry clean recommended to maintain fabric crispness and structural integrity.

• Iron on low to medium heat, avoiding direct pulling on the underwire structure.

• Store on a padded hanger to preserve the bustier shape and full skirt drape.
